1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Port City Tattoo website, our booking and intake forms, our text message program, and the services we provide in our shops. By using our website or services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Who We Are
Port City Tattoo is operated by LB Tattoo Co. LLC, 4290 E Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA 90804, with locations in Long Beach, Costa Mesa, and Santa Ana.

3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo or a piercing from us. California law does not permit us to tattoo anyone under 18, and we cannot do so with parental consent. Our shop policy applies the same minimum age to piercings.
You must present valid government-issued photo identification before any work begins. We photograph your ID as part of our records. We may refuse service if identification is not provided or does not appear valid.
You must be able to give informed consent. We will not tattoo anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Appointments, Deposits and Cancellations
Walk-ins. We accept walk-ins at our shops during business hours. Walk-in availability depends on which artists are working and how busy the shop is, and is not guaranteed.
Appointments. Some artists work by appointment only. Booking methods vary by artist and are listed on our website.
Deposits. A deposit is required to book an appointment. The amount is set by your artist and varies with the size and scope of the work. Deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit is forfeited.
Rescheduling. You may reschedule an appointment once and keep your deposit, provided you give at least 24 hours’ notice. A second reschedule forfeits the deposit, and a new deposit is required to book again.
Late arrivals. If you arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment time, your deposit stands. Arriving later may mean your session is shortened or rescheduled, at your artist’s discretion.
No-shows. If you do not show up for your appointment, your deposit is forfeited.
5. Consultations, Quotes and Pricing
We provide quotes in the shop only. We do not quote prices by phone, email, text, or social media. Descriptions and reference images sent in advance help us prepare, but a price requires seeing the placement and discussing the design in person.
Any estimate given during a consultation is an estimate. The final price depends on the size, placement, detail, and time the work actually takes.
You will agree on the price before your artist begins. This is confirmed on the release form you sign.
6. Our Services
We provide tattooing and body piercing services.
Piercings are performed with single-use, sterile equipment. Jewelry supplied by us is body-safe; we may decline to install jewelry you bring from elsewhere if we cannot verify the material.
Artists work in different styles and are not interchangeable. If the artist you requested is unavailable, has left the shop, or works at a different location, we will tell you and offer an alternative. We are not obligated to provide a specific artist.
7. Your Design, Spelling and Placement
You are responsible for the content of your tattoo. If your tattoo includes text, a symbol, or writing in any language, you are responsible for providing the correct wording, spelling, and imagery.
You are responsible for proofing the stencil. Before any work begins, you will be shown the stencil in place. Once you approve it and work starts, the placement, size, and content are as you approved them. Corrections to an approved design are new work and are charged accordingly.
8. The Nature of Tattooing
A tattoo is permanent. Removal is expensive, incomplete, and painful, and we do not perform it.
Tattoo inks, dyes, and pigments have not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Healed results vary between people and depend on skin type, placement, sun exposure, and how you care for the tattoo. We cannot guarantee an exact match to a reference image.
9. Health and Safety
You must disclose relevant health conditions before being tattooed or pierced. On our release form you confirm, among other things, that you do not have a communicable disease, bleeding disorder, or condition affecting healing; that you are not pregnant or nursing; that you are not taking blood-thinning medication; and that the area to be tattooed is free of conditions that would interfere with the work.
Providing false or incomplete health information puts you at risk and voids our touch-up guarantee.
We may decline a particular design, placement, piercing, or person at our discretion. We may stop work at any point if continuing would be unsafe.
10. Aftercare and Touch-Ups
You will be given aftercare instructions. Following them is your responsibility, and healing outcomes depend heavily on it.
We guarantee touch-ups under normal healing conditions, at no charge, within one month of your original session. After one month, touch-ups are charged at our normal rate.
Touch-ups are charged where the tattoo was damaged by your own negligence — including sun exposure, swimming or soaking, picking or scratching, gardening, contact with animals during healing, or failure to follow the aftercare instructions you were given.
Piercings. Piercings are not covered by the touch-up guarantee. Healing times vary by placement, and rejection or migration can occur even with correct aftercare. We will advise on jewelry changes, but we cannot guarantee a piercing will heal.
Health questions are not answered by text or email. If you have concerns about healing, an unusual reaction, or signs of infection, contact a medical professional. For anything urgent, seek medical care.
11. Payment and Refunds
Payment is due when the work is completed, unless arranged otherwise.
Tattoo work is permanent and cannot be returned, so completed work is not refundable. This includes dissatisfaction with a design you approved at the stencil stage.
If you believe something has gone wrong with your tattoo, speak to us. We would rather fix a problem than argue about one.
12. Photography and Image Rights
We photograph completed work. On the release form you sign, you release rights to photographs taken and consent to their reproduction in print or electronic form, and their display in any venue — including our website and social media.
If you would prefer your tattoo not be photographed or posted, tell your artist before your session and we will respect that.
13. Text Messages
Our text message program is described in our Privacy Policy.
In short: you opt in by checking a box on our forms or texting a keyword. Consent is not required to get tattooed. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. You must be 18 or older.
14. Website Use
The content of this website — including photographs of tattoo work, artist portfolios, logos, and text — belongs to Port City Tattoo, LB Tattoo Co. LLC, or the individual artists. You may not reproduce it commercially without permission.
Tattoo designs created by our artists remain their creative work. Having a tattoo does not transfer ownership of the design to you.
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, or submit false information through our forms.
15. Third-Party Links
Our website and messages may link to third-party sites, including artist booking pages and social media. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
16. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Our services are provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, and except where liability cannot lawfully be limited, LB Tattoo Co. LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under California law.
You acknowledge the inherent risks of tattooing, including infection, allergic reaction, and scarring, as described in the release form you sign.
17. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
